This past Sunday I went and bought a bike mainly for transportation to and from work to offset the cost of driving my truck, and to work a little cross training for my running. I haven't ridden in twenty years, and what they say is true, you never forget how to ride a bike.
That doesn't mean that I wasn't absolutely terrified when I took it out for a quick spin before the weather got worse. Not that it was all that great to begin with, but that is neither here nor there. Back to the very brief ride, if you can call it that. It was only about 2 miles, and I was lucky to get that far. Seeing how I almost didn't even get out of the driveway. That was just about the hardest part, besides turning that is. I was pretty sure that I was going to turn and have the wheels slide right out from under me. Much to my surprise I didn't wipe out or have any other kind of major incident. It all went kind of smooth and actually felt pretty good. I am looking forward to riding and sharing my experiences with all of you. Hopefully it will be both enjoyable and entertaining.
